Young Woman Embraces Joyful Little Girl in Park

The image trembles slightly. You can hear the wind, the crunch of dry leaves, a branch creaking in the distance. Autumn wraps itself around everything — still, quiet, slightly melancholic. The air is cool, brushing against your skin. But something inside you is slowly warming. You’re there. Quiet, still, alone. Wearing a light sweater, hands at your sides. Your eyes are fixed on the ground, lost in the scattered leaves. You’re somewhere between thought and memory, holding onto silence like it might break if spoken. Then — movement. At the edge of the frame, a little girl appears. Two or three years old. Dark skin, long dark hair flying in the breeze. She’s wearing a tiny coat. Her feet are covered, but her joy is barefoot — wild, free. Her laughter cuts through the silence. Pure. Familiar. You look up. Your eyes meet. Something breaks open inside you — not pain, but a quiet completion, like something lost has returned. Slowly, you kneel down. Arms open. She runs faster now, leaves flying with every step. Then she reaches you. Tiny arms wrap around your neck. Her head rests on your shoulder. No words. Just everything in that hug. You smile. Your hand smooths her hair back. You close your eyes, just feeling. You don’t know if it’s real or imagined. But something feels whole again. The camera is filming. But the moment belongs only to you.
